Stephen Ivestor

STEPHEN KENT IVESTER of Stone Mountain, GA, went to be with the Lord at 5:15
p.m. on March 7, 2025, with his family by his side. Stephen was born in Powder
Springs, GA on June 4, 1966, and graduated from McEachern High School in 1984, He
was a devoted member of Ponce Presbyterian Church who have shown so much love
and support during his battle with colon cancer. Stephen is survived by his father, Fred
Ivester of Marietta, GA, two sisters, Sheryl Ivester of Marietta, GA, and Laurie Flynn of
Charlotte, NC. He has a loving and devoted daughter, Neko Ivester of Stone Mountain,
GA. He is also survived by a niece, Kate Ivester, and nephew, Jack Ivester, both of
Marietta, GA. Stephen was an avid Star Wars fan and loved animals including his
deceased dog, Bruno, and current pets, dog Ava, and cats Qtip, Freckles, and Star
Lord. Stephen was a kind-hearted soul who helped many young adults cope with and
get through their own difficulties in life. A special thank you to his “daughter” Saylah
and his future daughter-in-law, Jade, for nursing him in his last few weeks of life. A
special thank you to Bridgeway Hospice for their care and support for Stephen in his
last week of life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Ponce
