We are celebrating the wonderful life of Rosalie Holiday (Bay). Rosalie was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on August 28th, 1932, to parents Annie Mae Gardner and Calvin Holliday. She was the youngest surviving sibling of 5 children; Ruth Heard (Bay Bay), Wardell Walker (Big Bruh), Roosevelt Blanchard (Lil Bruh) and Elnoria Holiday-Jenkins(Sadie). When Rosalie turned 19, she moved to Brockton, Massachusetts where she lived for over 60 years. She raised two daughters, Dianne Holiday-Faulk and Rosmaree Holiday. Her family grew to include grandchildren Chimere Faulk, Sheena Parker (Terrell Parker), Hana Faulk, Calvin Faulk III, Stepheon Holiday, India Holiday-Hicks (Brandon Hicks Sr.), Sophia Holiday, Shaun Holiday and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Rosalie worked as a Homemaker for most of her adult life. She was always a hardworking woman despite her physical limitations from a young age. She lovingly became the neighborhood babysitter and babysat for multiple generations in her Hill Street neighborhood.
Rosalie moved to Georgia in 2014 to live the remaining years of her life comfortably taken care of by her daughter and grandchildren until her passing on Oct 3rd, 2022 at the age of 90 years old.
