Regina V. Ratelle

Regina Ratelle, 71, a resident of Lawrenceville, GA died peacefully Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Amicasa hospice in Decatur, GA from complications related to renal failure after two recent hospital stays. Sometimes life turns your world upside down and dearest and fondest relationships end unexpectedly. Gina remained resiliant after experiencing the loss of her dearest and closest relationships, continuing to view others fondly with forgiveness, love and charity and steadfast hope for a better tomorrow.  Gina remained in good spirits, living a life of love, honest care for others and sharing until the end. Gina is remembered as a loving mother, as enjoying a good laugh, for loving her pet dogs, which she called her 'babies', as always being mindful to take a few minutes every day to do something she loved, and as always expressing her love for others. She is survived by her brother, Bill, her daughter, Christie and her grandson Deante.  Due to current health concerns; others are encouraged to make a charitable donation to a charity either supporting the care and nurturing of animals or to the American Kidney Fund in lieu of sending flowers for a memorial service.  The family extends sincere gratitude to the staffs of Northside and Duluth Hospitals in Gwinnett, Co.; Clancy Rehabilitation and Amicas hospice, as well as to those close to Gina who have already expressed their condolences.
