Patty Wood was born on January 15, 1934 to James Sellers Sr. and Inez Carter. She was the oldest of 6 kids. Patty married Roger Wood when she was 15 years old. She had a total of 9 kids. She was surrounded by her loving family as she transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at home. At an early age Patty dedicated her life to Christ.
She retired from Georgia Perimeter College. She spent her spare time sewing, cooking, and tending to her plants. Patty was famous for her world-famous banana pudding.
Patty enjoyed traveling and going to Red Lobster. She was kind-hearted and would do anything for her family. Patty truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: chatting with friends and family, snacking, and shopping. It wasn't a Goodwill she did not go to. She was a caretaker for her grandkids and even her great grandkids. She was a firm believer of slapping the back of your head and you wouldn’t even see it coming. And please don't get her to roast you. She had a contagious laugh and smile. She gave good advice, and you could talk to her about anything. She was a blessing to anyone she met.
Patty was preceded in death by her children Tammy and Morris Wood.
She leaves behind her husband Roger Wood, sister Liz, her children Larry, Tommy, Harold, Murray, Connie, Blake, Blaine and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and friends.
