The family regrets to announce the passing of the late MAUDIANA CELESTINA PILMGRIM-HERMAN. She was born in the beautiful Caribbean village of Willkies on the island of Antigua on June 18, 1945. Maudiana passed on to her peaceful rest on December 9, 2020. She was the third of four children to the late Rex Roberts and Salome Smith.
She was survived by her loving husband and best friend, Randolph Herman; brother, Leopold Roberts; and sisters, Eren Elva Emanuel and Ruth Roberts. Sons, Rowan Pilgrim, Sr., Junia Pilgrim, and Fred Pilgrim; Ten grandchildren, Amarley Pilgrim, Abedie Pilgrim, Akilo Pilgrim, Shiniqwa Pilgrim, Jahqweal Pilgrim, Rowan Pilgrim, Jr. Alesia Pilgrim, Nya Pilgrim, Marquis Pilgrim, Legend Foster; Step grandchild, Seneka Smith; Four great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
Maudiana’s passion was service. Her desire was to feed the world. She loved to cook. Maudiana spent many years working as Head Cook at Whitefield Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, a job that she loved very much. She retired in 2010.
To witness first-hand the life of a woman, a mother, a faithful warrior was one of the many blessings her children experienced. The transformative effect of her legacy is one that many will continue to experience. We now prepare to learn to live day to day with her memories. She will be greatly missed.
