Cynthia Bailey Morris, aged 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, 26th December 2025, at Infinite Care Home in Flowery Branch, Gwinnett County, Georgia. Born on 4th August 1953, in the Epping Forest district of Manchester, Jamaica, West Indies, she was the daughter of farmer Ernest Bailey and homemaker Roslyn Bailey. Cynthia graduated from Waterloo All Age School and married Vincent Morris in 1976; he preceded her in death in October 2017. She was a transport operator and craft vendor in the tourism sector in Montego Bay, known for her astute business acumen and ability to get things done.
Cynthia's legacy continues through her family. She is survived by her daughter Heather, son Vernon, and son-in-law Calvin. Her memory lives on in her grandsons Akino, Kyle, Alex, Kevon, Asani, Corey, and Kemari, and her granddaughters Veronica, Jada, Kensani, Kesli, and Rhysa. Her great-grandchildren Annayah, Amari, Jaidon, and Zyon will also carry her spirit forward.
In addition to her immediate family, Cynthia is remembered fondly by her siblings Euphema, Patrica, Oswald, Hopeton, Rally, Roger, Blossom, Richard, Alphonso, and Nicola. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends mourn her passing, including the crew at the Harbour Street Craft Market and Juta Tours, and her dear friend Maureen. Cynthia's impact on those who knew her will be long-lasting and deeply felt.
