Obituary

Violet Cecilia Kirby, age 66, of Stone Mountain, GA passed away on September 16, 2022 after a brief bout with cancer.

She was mother to 6 children whom she loved dearly and spent her entire life working hard to ensure they had a better life. Born and raised in St. John's, Antigua, Violet came to America in 1995 and forged a stable foundation that has supported numerous family members and her children. Violet was a woman defined by her strength, her work ethic, and her generosity. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. She was a cornerstone of our family and will be dearly missed.

Violet was predeceased by her daughter Samantha Simon, her sisters Jocelyn Kirby & Elaine Kirby, her brother Gaston Brown, her mother Rebecca Ephraim, and her father Josiah Kirby. She left behind her siblings including, but not limited to: Nalda Campbell, Elijah, Claude, & Maude Brown, Ruth Channel, Naomi Joseph, Steve, Louis, Aubrey, Patricia, & Lynn Kirby; her children Arlene Challenger, Colette & Craig Simon, Ichristar Pierre, and Shamur Stewart; her grandchildren Davonteé, Davoncia, & Davaunia Joseph, Hannah Asamoah, and Kamar Simon; her great-grandchildren D'Nique Mitchell, D'Arie Brown, and Messiah Sampson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
