In Loving Memory of Andrew (Blu) Corney

November 1, 1984 – May 19, 2025

Andrew (Blu) Corney, age 40, passed away on May 19, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, on November 1, 1984, Andrew's life was filled with challenges and struggles, but it was also filled with love, strength, and a deep desire for healing and connection. His path was not easy, but he walked it with quiet courage and enduring hope.

Andrew was a father of three: T'Niyah, his eldest, who currently serves in the Armed Forces; Ohani, who is building his future as a young adult; and Tione, a talented student and athlete with a bright future ahead. Andrew loved his children deeply. Despite his struggles, they were always in his heart, and he carried their names with pride and hope.

Throughout his life, Andrew was surrounded by love. His mother, Ms. Darlene Corney, was his most faithful supporter—a source of unshakable, unconditional love. She never gave up on him, walking beside him through every trial, always seeing the best in him and believing in his worth when he couldn't see it himself. Her love was constant, fierce, and unwavering.

Andrew also shared a special bond with his older brother, Shaun, who helped care for him in childhood and remained a guiding presence in his life. His younger brother, LJ, was part of the bond of brotherhood offering love, memories, and happy moments.

His family and friends were always in Andrew's corner. Even through life's hardest moments, they never stopped loving him, supporting him, and showing up. Their love was a testament to the person he was and the person he tried to be—someone worthy of grace, healing, and dignity.

Andrew will be remembered for his love of food, drawing, his sense of humor, and the way he could still find joy in music, writing, and small, happy moments with his kids, family and friends. His story is one of struggle, yes—but also of faith, strength, family, and the love that never let him go.
